Check your voice messages from anywhere, by phone or PC. You choose which ones to listen to and in what order. You can even forward them to friends as an email attachment.
Listen to messages by phone
There are three easy ways to get your voice messages by phone.
Dial from home: The fastest way to access your voice mail is to dial *98 from your home phone.
When prompted, enter your mailbox PIN.
Press 1 to listen. As the message plays:
Press # to skip a message.
When the message is finished playing:
Press 9 to save the message.
Press 7 to delete the message. It will remain in your trash for 48 hours.
Press 6 to forward a copy of the message to a telephone number or distribution list.
Dial from anywhere: If you're away from home, dial your home number, press * to skip the voice mail greeting, and use the same steps for listening to voice messages from home. Keep in mind that when dialing into voice mail remotely, you may incur additional access charges for non-local calls, hotel services charges, or cellular charges.
Dial your Access Number: If you're away from home, but there's a chance someone may answer your home phone, dial the Access Number instead. Then enter your home phone number, and when prompted, enter your mailbox PIN. To find your Access Number:
Enter your AT&T U-verse® email address and password.
Click AT&T U-verse Voice.
Click Manage Phone Settings.
Choose any Call Forwarding option to see your Access Number. We recommend adding it to the phone book on your wireless phone for future use.

To save a message on your PC, right-click the message, select Save As, and then Save. To delete messages, select the messages you'd like to delete from your list of messages and click Delete. Deleted messages will stay in your trash for 48 hours. Empty your trash to erase them immediately.
Find out when you have new messages
When you have unheard messages, your home phone will have a stutter dial tone and display a flashing light (if it has that feature). You can also get message alerts on your wireless phone or pager or by email.
Wireless Phone Notification: New message alerts will arrive as a text message if you have a wireless phone from AT&T.
Pager Notification: If you have a numeric pager, your pager will display your phone number. If you have an alphanumeric pager, you'll see the message type, header, and a time stamp.
Email Notification: When a new message is waiting, you'll get an email with the message type, the message header, and a date and time stamp.
